The "natural passion" theme was developed for the IEC centenary year in 2006 by the Geneva artist Thierry Clauson — this year's images evolves the theme further still. Thierry was inspired by the thought that some of the great thinkers of the world are said to have stumbled onto their creations by chance. Attracted by the myths that have arisen around their inventions, he depicts this process in his own passionate manner by wedding nature to electrotechnology that brings together the unusual associations of ideas.
